As part of the family that built GCW into a trusted local institution, Evette was more than a familiar face; she was a constant presence, warmly woven into the fabric of the business and the community it served.
She cared about people. Not as an afterthought, but instinctively and genuinely.
When Evette passed, her family wanted to do something that felt true to who she was. Not a gesture, but a commitment. Something that would live on in her name and reflect the values she lived by.
That’s how the Evette Shaw Foundation came to be.

The Foundation will be raising funds and providing support for people and causes across Grimsby and the surrounding area. While its reach may grow, its heart will stay local – rooted in the same community Evette was part of for so many years.
